LBS positioning
Based on the location of the GSM towers, LBS performs a triangulation calculation to get the position of the device. The 2G GPRS connected modem can be queried in order to get return information about the Cell ID and signa strength of the nearby GSM towers.
in the area, including their unique Cell Ids, and the signal strength obtained from each.
Via serial communication, with the so called Hayes or AT commands, the appropriate commands can be given to get this done.
