The XL6009 is a 94% energy efficient, 4 Ampère DC-DC converter, ideal to use in projects where you use (rechargeable) batteries as a power source and a project requiring 12 Volts, 24 Volts or anything between 5 Volts and 55 Volts.

We designed a case or housing for this DC-DC converter which is 38.3mm by 70.0mm in size. The additional size for the casing adds a wall thickness of 3mm on all sides of the PCB size.

The 3 times 7-segment display provides information about the input and output voltage, which can be adjusted with the small screw on top of the blue potmeter.
In the casing we made openings for this potmeter to be able to adjust the output voltage while the case is closed. We also made a square hole for the display.

Optionally we provided a hole for a on/off switch.
Both stl files are downloadable for the design with and without the on/off switch.
Because the button is not reachable to toggle displaying the input and output voltage, we designed a pin inside a small casing to be able to reach the push button while the case is closed. After 3D printing you need to push this button from the backside to break it’s support in order to be able to use it. We have seen versions of the XL6009 module with high and low buttons, so if your version of the XL6009 module has a quite high button, you can simply cut off a small piece of the pin, as depicted in the right picture below.

The design has 4 holes in the bottom for 4 x M3 screws with a wire length of 6mm.

3D printed housing with room for the voltage adjustment potmeter screw, the display, an on/off switch and the toggle button showing input/output voltage.

Same housing closed, MTS-102 switch mounted

Model MTS-102 switch,  6A@125VAC, 20mΩ max, Dielectric strength:1500VAC, 1Minute, Operating Temperature:-55℃~ +85℃, Electrical Life:20,000 Cycles

Some modules on the market have a higher toggle button for displaying the voltages. In these cases you can simply shorten the button shaft by cutting 1 of 2 mm off.
